Schedule tweets and threads on X (Twitter)
X moves fast, and a schedule is how a solo creator keeps up. Crosspost connects with X's own sign-in and publishes through X's official API on Crosspost's own developer app, so you do not need an X developer account or a paid API plan of your own.
Connect X (Twitter) in three steps
- Have an X account - nothing else to prepare.
- In Crosspost, open Channels, choose X and click Connect, then approve on X's own screen. Nothing to paste.
- Compose once, tick X next to your other accounts (keep the X caption within 280 characters), and publish now, schedule, or add it to the queue.
What you can post
Text posts up to 280 characters, up to 4 images, video, and threads: Make it a thread in Compose adds parts (text and up to 4 images each) that post as a chain of replies. A first comment can go out as a reply right after the post.
Threads without the copy-paste
Write every part in one place and they post as a reply chain. If X refuses a part, the chain stops there and the post itself still counts as published.
No API plan to buy
Posting to X through its API costs money per post, and Crosspost carries that on its own developer app. You connect your account and post; there is no X developer setup on your side.
Impressions and engagement in one table
Analytics reads impressions, likes, replies, reposts and quotes for posts you published through Crosspost, next to your other platforms (paid plans).
Frequently asked questions
Can I schedule threads on X?
Yes. Add parts with Make it a thread; each part is its own post on X, published as a chain of replies at the time you schedule.
Do I need X Premium or a developer account?
No developer account and no API plan: Crosspost posts through its own approved X app. Posts longer than 280 characters, which X Premium allows in X's app, are not supported - keep each part within 280.
Can I add a first comment on X?
Yes. Write it in Compose and it is posted as a reply under your post right after it goes out.
How much does it cost?
Every plan starts with a 3-day free trial (card required, cancel anytime) - paid plans from $29/month with unlimited posting. Prefer no subscription? A one-time $9.99 Week Pass covers 7 days.
