Acceptable Use Policy
This policy is part of the Crosspost Terms of Service. Crosspost publishes to social platforms partly through shared platform integrations, so one account's abuse can harm every customer's reach. We enforce this policy strictly to protect the service for everyone.
Never allowed
Publishing, storing, or generating any of the following leads to immediate suspension and, where the law requires, a report to authorities:
- Sexual content involving minors, in any form.
- Content that promotes terrorism, human trafficking, or violence against people.
- Malware, phishing, or content designed to defraud.
- Content that is otherwise illegal in the European Union or your jurisdiction.
Not allowed through Crosspost
- Spam and manipulation - bulk unsolicited content, fake engagement, misleading metadata, or evading platform rate limits and rules.
- Hate and harassment - attacking people based on protected characteristics, or targeted harassment campaigns.
- Sending content to a platform that bans it - this matters most for sexually explicit or adult content. Platforms differ: some (for example X) allow clearly-marked adult content, while others (for example Instagram and TikTok) prohibit it. You are responsible for sending each post only to platforms whose rules it meets. Routing explicit content to a platform that forbids it - through our shared integration - is a violation, because it puts every customer's standing with that platform at risk. Everyday content such as swimwear, fitness, body-positive, or tattoo photos is fine.
- Infringement - publishing content you don't have the rights to.
- Misrepresentation - impersonating people or organizations, or passing off AI-generated material as real events where that deceives.
- Service abuse - probing, disrupting, or overloading Crosspost or its integrations.
Platform rules still apply
Every platform you connect (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, X, Bluesky, and the rest) sets its own content rules, and they don't agree with each other. You are responsible for matching each post to the rules of the platforms you send it to; Crosspost does not widen what any platform allows, and we don't judge content that a destination platform itself permits.
Enforcement
We may remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate this policy - immediately and without prior notice for the "never allowed" category. Suspended workspaces stop publishing at once, including already-scheduled posts. We log enforcement actions.
Reporting abuse
Seen something published through Crosspost that violates this policy? Use the report form or email abuse@crosspost.media. We review every report; where EU notice-and-action rules apply, this is the channel for them.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service and the law evolve; the date above reflects the current version.
