Add it like any custom connector

Add https://api.crosspost.media/mcp as a custom connector in your assistant and approve it with your Crosspost login. Tools that take a header, such as Claude Code, can use a workspace API key instead.

Drafts by default

A post your assistant creates is a draft unless you ask for now or a time, so you can check it in Crosspost first. A caption per account works too.

Images and video by link

Hand it up to 10 public image links (two or more become a carousel) or a video link of up to 200 MB, which is processed exactly like an upload.

Narrow access you can revoke

Each assistant connection is a workspace API key named after the assistant in Settings, Security, and is revoked there. It can create and check posts; it can never connect accounts, touch billing or make keys.

Frequently asked questions

Which assistants work with it?

Assistants that support custom MCP connectors over HTTP with sign-in, such as Claude and ChatGPT where your plan and settings allow custom connectors, plus tools that accept an API key header, such as Claude Code.

Which plan do I need?

Studio, or a Week Pass, which unlocks Studio features for 7 days. If a workspace leaves Studio, its assistant keys stop working.

Can the assistant connect accounts or see my passwords?

No. Connecting an account always happens in Crosspost, in the platform's own login window. The connector can only list accounts and create and check posts.

What can my assistant post?

Text posts, images by public link (up to 10, two or more as a carousel) and video by link, to any of your connected accounts, as a draft, at a time, or right now.

Can the assistant read my analytics?

No. The connector lists accounts, creates posts and reports their status; analytics stay in the Crosspost app.
