Schedule posts to Threads
Threads rewards a steady rhythm of short posts. Crosspost connects to your Threads profile through Meta's official Threads API, so you can write once, tune the Threads version, and keep your schedule without opening the app every few hours.
Connect Threads in three steps
- Have a Threads profile (sign up in the Threads app if you do not have one yet).
- In Crosspost, open Channels, choose Threads and click Connect, then approve access on Threads' own screen.
- Compose once, tick Threads next to your other accounts, give it its own caption if you like, and publish now or schedule it.
What you can post
Text posts up to 500 characters, single images, carousels of up to 20 images, and videos. Threads allows one topic tag per post, so extra trailing tags are dropped at publish. Per post you can set a topic, choose who can reply, and hide an image until it is tapped.
Short-form, tuned per platform
Threads, X and Bluesky all like short posts, with different limits. Write the Threads version separately when it needs to differ, or let one caption serve all three.
Carousels and video
Two or more images become a Threads carousel (up to 20), and a video posts as a video - from the same post that goes everywhere else.
Topics and reply controls
Add a topic and choose who can reply under More options in Compose, per post, without opening the Threads app.
Frequently asked questions
Can I schedule Threads posts?
Yes. Crosspost publishes through Meta's official Threads API at the time you set, with text, images, carousels or video.
Can I post a thread (a chain of replies) to Threads?
Not on Threads today: the thread composer posts reply chains on X, Bluesky and Mastodon, and Threads gets the first part as a single post.
Can I post to Threads and Instagram together?
Yes. Tick both (and any other account) for the same post; each gets the format it takes.
How much does it cost?
Every plan starts with a 3-day free trial (card required, cancel anytime) - paid plans from $29/month with unlimited posting. Prefer no subscription? A one-time $9.99 Week Pass covers 7 days.
