Comedy Trends: Week of Oct 19-25, 2026

What was rising across X, TikTok, Pinterest and YouTube for Comedy creators that week.

The Week in Short

You're riding a wave of relatable, observation-based comedy right now, and the momentum is undeniable. Creepy fact storytime stays your workhorse-it's been showing up consistently all week, so if you haven't leaned into that format yet, now's your moment. Observational humor in general is having a serious moment, whether you're riffing on everyday life jokes or tackling absurdist takes on daily struggles and adulthood. The spooky season content push is real too, with pumpkin head illusion and the broader Halloween angle still pulling through. What's new this week matters: dramatic apology trends, Be OK dance confessions, and absurdist observational comedy are all breaking through fresh. ADHD jokes and parenting humor are resonating across audiences, so if you've got material there, test it now while the appetite is high. Here's what the platform data tells you-X and TikTok are nearly tied in keyword volume, with YouTube close behind. That means your absurdist comedy sketches and everyday life jokes need cross-platform treatment. Pinterest is your smallest player but still surfacing comedy sketches, so don't sleep on it for evergreen content. Next week, double down on observational comedy in sketch format, mix in the absurdist angle, and absolutely ride the Halloween wave while it lasts. You've got the audience for it.
