Comedy Trends: Week of Oct 12-18, 2026

Absurdist comedy absolutely dominated your Comedy & Fun trends this week, showing up across multiple formats and platforms-from sketches to deadpan videos to full aesthetic explorations. It's not just a passing moment either; the momentum stuck around for days, signaling that audiences are hungry for comedy that doesn't play it straight. Pair that with the staying power of observational and self-deprecating humor, and you're seeing a clear audience preference for comedy that either mines relatable life frustrations or leans into deliberately weird territory. TikTok and X are driving the conversation harder than other platforms this week, with cross-platform hits like the ramalama costume walk and #FloridaMan proving that absurdist bits travel fast when they're shareable. YouTube and Pinterest are quieter but still surfacing trends worth noting-Pinterest especially seems interested in visual comedy like humorous greeting cards and bold playful typography. For next week, double down on absurdist sketches and relatable adulting content; the audience is clearly there. Test chaotic energy posts if you haven't already, and pay attention to mask-reveal formats gaining traction around the Be OK challenge. TikTok and X should be your primary testing grounds, but don't sleep on Pinterest's visual comedy appetite.
